 Hi everyone! We just want to let you know that Antigua is a safe place for you to come and study Spanish!! There are some news circulating about not being safe for your visit but here at Tecun Uman we offer you security, we hope this does not affect future visits!

Revolution day!!

Every October 20th Guatemala celebrates October Revolution of 1944!!

This was a movement headed by militar officials, estudents and teachers with a Marxism Ideology they made possible for Guatemala to go back to a democracy, have free elections and focus on benefits for the working class.

It is getting windy so it is time to go out and fly a Barrilete! On November 1 you will be able to see all the giant barriletes and you could start now we are sure you will enjoy this new experience!

Starting a New Month!!

Today in Guatemala it is Children's day!! There are many activities to celebrate this special day for the little ones!

This is also the Virgen del Rosario's month! Some churches celebrates this.

Another thing that it is getting famous in here is the Halloween activities, you will noticed that many people have parties this day and have custume competitions!!
