How's the weather in town!?

Antigua Guatemala has an excellent weather, right now we have some rain but in the past days it has been sunny during the morning and cloudy during the afternoons!

When you come I am sure you will love the weather, you will experience the sunny days when you can go out and have sports activities, the cloudy days when you can walk down the city visiting the shops or spend some time in a restaurant and getting to know new people and on the raining days you can spend them reading a book in one of the many coffee shops you will find here.

Guatemala´s Independence Day

Every year on September 15 we celebrate the day of our independence from Spain.

We celebrate this day with diferent things, schools go down the streets of Antigua with they marcial bands and some students carryng out the flag of our loved country. Some other people like to make this day a sports day so they go out running with torches they have lighted from their town and take the fire to Guatemala City you will notice this torches all over the country if you happen to be here on this special day.

As part of our culture we have some national symbols like: La Bandera, el Escudo, el Quetzal, la Ceiba, la Monja Blanca, la Marimba, Tecun Uman.

We hope you can come some time on this date so you can appreciate a litller bit of our culture and this way we say Happy Birhtday Guatemala!!
